Our customer was ultimately looking to sell their flat however the existing kitchen was rather “tired” and so they took the decision to replace it. A new, well designed and attractive kitchen would make the flat very much more desirable and easier to market but there was obviously a budget to work to given their intention to sell.
We decided to create an island unit that could be used for both cooking and dining – or even just as a pleasant place to sit for a while. The relatively high ceiling height is a common feature in flats in Shawlands and our fitter created a bespoke boiler unit (over 2.6m high) using the same materials as the kitchen units.
